Joyce Neil (Jody)
Our neighbor and friend Joyce Neil, known to one and all as Jody, has passed away.  She spent her last moments in the comfort of a hospice, but she lived almost her entire life in her treasured home: Glen Haven.

She will be remembered for her sarcastic wit and fiery temper; for driving around in her golf cart with its American flags and little angels and watching over our neighborhood; for being the one many of us called when we felt threatened by thieves as she would be there faster than the police; for always having treats with her for every dog she passed; for being the first one there if a child fell down and for being the one every delivery or service person remembered when they came to our neighborhood.

Jody will be remembered for the annual golf cart parades she organized on the 4th of July; for her decorations of the community bulletin board on holidays; for the display case in her front yard with its figurines that she changed with such care for every season to keep the children entertained; and for her Indian Weather Rock which entertained many an adult.

Mostly, she will be remembered for her love of children and animals, for her love of her country and its veterans, and her love of Glen Haven.

Memorial Service 10/21 at 3pm at the Pavilion.

Glen Haven Challenges
As most of us are aware, this has been a very challenging river season!  Mother nature continues to prove she is a force to be reckoned with!  The ramp and docks have been very difficult to maintain and I wish to thank Dave Jewell and Howard Holt AND our beloved Bakerton Fire Dept!

See everyone 10/27/18 at 10am!
